About the Young People’s Network (YPN)
The YPN is a group of care experienced young people who are exploring and raising awareness of issues that affect care experienced people. Their activities are facilitated by Renaisi, who are funded by the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation to run the network. Renaisi is a research organisation and a provider of frontline services and collect data in a variety of ways for different uses.
What is this research about?
This research is being carried out by the YPN, using Renaisi’s systems for storing and using data. The aim of the research is to better understand the experiences of care experienced people and the issues that affect them.
What is the YPN’s legal basis for processing your personal data?
The YPN requires a legal basis to process your personal data. The legal basis being used for this research is your consent. If you wish to withdraw your consent at any time, see ‘your rights’ below.
How will the YPN use my personal data?
This research is completely voluntary, and any answers are given with your consent. The YPN will keep your personal data and responses in strict confidence and will only use these for research purposes. They will be presented as anonymous research findings, unless you consent to be named. In this case, you will be named, but your responses will not be attributed to you.
Where will my personal data be held and processed?
All of your personal data used and collected by the YPN for this study will be securely stored in Renaisi data centres and servers within the United Kingdom.
How long will the YPN retain my personal data and identifiable responses?
The YPN will only retain your data in a way that can identify you for as long as is necessary to support the research project and findings. We will securely delete your personal details from the Renaisi systems once the study is complete (October 2021).
You have the right to access your personal data within the limited period that YPN holds it.
Providing responses to this study is entirely voluntary and is done so with your consent. You have the right to withdraw your consent and to object to our processing of your responses to surveys, interviews and during workshops at any time up until 30th June 2021. You have the right to rectify any incorrect or out-of-date personal data about you which we may hold.
